PURPOSE:To effect favorable pressing while uniformly applying a push-and-bending force to respective steel belts of a circular core by an apparatus wherein the push-and-bending operation is performed while moving a mechanism for push-and-bending the circular core perpendicularly to the direction in which the core is pushed and bent. CONSTITUTION:A hydraulic cylinder 13 is driven to move a slide plate 14 forward and backward. When a circular core 5 is stretched out from the pushed and bent state to the elongaged circle state by virtue of support poles 17, 17, the hydraulic cylinder 13 is stopped. An electromotor 23 is then rotated to turn a feed screw 20, so that the slide plate 14 is moved together with a table 12 perpendicularly to the direction in which the core is pushed and bent. A movement amount of the slide plate is selected equal to a shift amount of stepped notches 4(joint) in steel belts 2. Assuming that one reciprocal operation of the hydraulic cylinder 13 and one pitch shift of the feed screw 20 provide one cycle, the above operation will be repeated several tens cycles. By so doing, the push- and-bending force can be uniformly applied to the stepped notches 4 and the pressing strength can be reducd without fluctuations. |
