PURPOSE:To separate and recover powdery metal from a spraying medium in a short time and a high yield by disposing magnet drums in the flow passage for a mixed suspension of the powdery metal by a spraying method of magnetic metal and the spraying medium and attracting the metallic powder thereon by magnetic force. CONSTITUTION:A melt (a) of magnetic metal such as iron or the like is dropped from the nozzle 2 of a vessel 1, and a spraying medium (b) of water, oil or the like is sprayed from a nozzle 4 to blow off the melt as powdery metal in a spraying chamber 3. A mixed suspension C of the powdery metal and the spraying medium such as water or oil is flowed in a flow passage 6 provided in continuation with the bottom of the vessel 3, and two rotating magnet drums 8-1, 8-2 are disposed in the mid-way thereof. An overflow weir 7 is provided between the drums. The powdery metal in the suspension C is attracted by the drum 8-1, and is recovered by a scraper plate 9-1 into a tank 10-1. A small amt. of th remaining powdery metal flowes beyond the gate 7 and is recovered with the drum 8-2 in the mid-way of flowing, whereby the powdery metal is separated and recovered in a short time from the spraying medium. |
