PURPOSE:To obtain an electric power supply device for a ship at a low cost, by using an electric power converting device containing a converter, an invertor, etc. as a shaft generating device for supplying electric power to an inboard bus during the voyage, and using it as a variable driving electric power source of a loading and unloading pump, etc. during the anchoring. CONSTITUTION:When a ship leaves a port and can use a shaft generating device, breakers 18, 19 are turned on and off, respectively, AC power is obtained from a shaft generator 3, and an electric power converting device 30 mainly consisting of a converter and an invertor 6 is started. Subsequently, it is turned on synchronously to a bus 10a by a breaker 14, a breaker 13 is turned off by shifting a load from a Diesel engine generating device 12, and electric power is supplied to an inboard load 11 of a constant frequency bus 10a during the voyage. When the ship enters preparations for arriving in a port, the generating device 12 is started, the breakers 13, 14 are turned on and off, respectively, and the shift generating device is stopped. In case when the electric power converting device 30 is operated as an electric power source for driving a variable speed, the breakers 19, 18 are turned off and on, respectively, the converting device 30 is started by obtaining AC power from the bus 10a, and a variable frequency output is supplied to a variable frequency bus 10b and is outputted to a load 22. |
