PURPOSE:To improve accuracy of collation, by giving proper threshold value to all characteristic points by chaning the threshold value according to the distance from a fingerprint collating device to the center of coordinate of all connected data to be collated. CONSTITUTION:Positional data, directional data, relation and characteristic point data converted to local coordinate are stored as all connected data in a search characteristic memory 5 and a file characteristic point memory 6. Out of positional data X, Y, X, for instance, is selected by a selector circuit 7a. Absolute values of X, Y are compared by a comparator circuit 7b-3, and larger value is selected by a threshold value selector circuit 7b, and the threshold value is outputted from a threshold value memory circuit 7b-5 making the value a call number. A substaction circuit 7d subtracts X from file data X' and the absolute value and threshold value are compared by a comparator circuit 7f, and a discriminating signal 702 is sent to a synthetic discrimination circuit. |
