<p>Method and apparatus for separating the liquid phase from the solid phase of rigid materials such as bituminous shale, household refuse, plants or the like, in which at least one material compressing operation at a pressure of at least 500 bar is employed, the compression being carried out in at least one first elongate chamber (1) equipped with apertures (4) for the passage of the flowable substances, and comprising at an inlet end a compression means which is capable of providing the required pressure and consists of a piston (3) actuated by a hydraulic cylinder (6) and at the other end a metering extraction system (5) slaved to the pressure of the compression cylinder, in such a manner as to ensure that, on average, the quantity of substance which the system allows or causes to be output, augmented by the quantity of extracted flowable substances, is equal to the quantity of raw material introduced in each cycle. <IMAGE></p> |
