PURPOSE:To provide an emulsifiable composition giving an emulsion having high safety to the human body, fine particle size, and excellent stability, by dissolving a protein together with a phospholipid or its salt in a polyhydric alcohol, and adding an oil to the solution. CONSTITUTION:The objective emulsifiable composition contains (A) an emulsifier consisting of (i) phospholipids or their salts (e.g. phosphatidic acid, lecithin, etc.) which are known as naturally existing high-safety amphoteric substances and (ii) proteins or their salts (e.g. soybean protein, collagen, etc.) which are known as natural water-soluble polymers, (B) water-soluble polyhydric alcohols having >=2 hydroxyl groups in the molecule (e.g. ethylene glycol, glycerol, etc.) and (C) an oil component (e.g. beef tallow, vaseline, etc.). The emulsifiable composition can be converted to an O/W-type emulsified composition by adding water thereto. |
