PURPOSE:To enable to accurately line-feed by an inexpensive DC motor, by a method wherein the counted number of pulses generated by the rotitaon of a DC motor is restricted in a forward rotation period of the motor. CONSTITUTION:A latch circuit 10 is inserted between a sensor 8 and a counter 9. The latch circuit 10 is controlled by a motor signal CNT. When the signal is a starting signal STT, the circuit 10 transfers a detection signal DET from the sensor 8 to the counter 9 as it is, but when the signal is a stopping signal STP, the circuit 10 latches the final value and fixes it at a High level or a Low level. Accordingly, when outputting a stopping signal STP to apply a reverse rotation brake at the time of detecting m pulses corresponding to one line, even when the motor is reversely rotated by an amount of alpha, the signals of the reverse rotation are not counted, by the function of the latch circuit 10, and the accuracy of line feeding is enhanced. |
