PURPOSE:To enable to replace a ribbon by a simple operation without making the hand smeared, by fitting a ribbon with a guide member integral with a mask, in an ink ribbon of a spool type for a serial printer. CONSTITUTION:The ink ribbon 9 wound around a ribbon spool is passed through a ribbon passing hole 16 provided in the guide member 14 integral with the mask 13, and is wound around a ribbon spool on the other side to constitute a cassette system. The guide member 14 is provided with guide post holes 15 capable of detachably engaged with guide posts 12, 12' provided on a carrier 2. When replacing the ribbon 9, the cassette is fitted to or detached from the carrier 2 through the holes 15, and then the ribbon spools are connected to or detached from a rotary shaft. |
