PURPOSE:To shorten heating time and improve work efficiency by such an arrangement wherein electromagnetic waves are irradiated on a conductive body impregnated with varnish to generate Joule heat and the varnish is heated and hardened by the same heat. CONSTITUTION:A varnish hardening device is equipped with an electromagnetic wave generator 15 for generating electromagnetic wave, and electromagnetic waves generated by this electromagnetic wave generator 15 are irradiated on a conductive body impregnated with varnish (e.g., a core 3 and coil 4 composing a stator 2) and the varnish is heated and hardened. The varnish hardening device is composed of, for example, a furnace 13 formed by Al plate, mounting base 14 made of a material of low dielectric loss, electromagnetic wave oscillator 15, waveguide 16 for introducing electromagnetic wave into the furnace 13 and a stirrer fan 17 for dispersing electromagnetic waves. When electromagnetic waves are irradiated on a stator 2 impregnated with varnish which is placed inside the furnace 13, a current of high frequency flows through the surface of stator 2 and Joule heat is generated and its temperature rises. By said heat, the varnish is heated and hardened. |
