The invention relates to a device for blocking nuts most especially but not exclusively for the wheels of vehicles. This device is characterised: - on the one hand, in that it comprises two main elements 5, 7 of which one plate 5 is immobilised rotatably with respect to the nut 4 and a lug 7 which is immobilised rotatably about the axis 9 of the stud 3 and, - on the other hand, in that these two elements are joined together by at least one clamping means 11 whose body is mounted in one of the elements and passes through a slot 13 which is cut out in the other element and which has a bowed shape according to a radius whose centre is that of the nut 4.
