PURPOSE:To control the timing of ignition corresponding to the abrupt change of an engine speed by improving the method of changing a capacitor for calculating the ignition timing of the engine. CONSTITUTION:An ignition timing calculating capacitor is reset by a resetting signal (c) generated at a second fixed angular position thetaL. Synchronizing with the falling of the signal (c), the ignition timing calculating capacitor rises relatively gradually as shown by a wave shape (h). This gradient corresponds to the extent of the electric current of a first charging circuit. When it reaches a first fixed angular position thetaH, it is charged with a larger electric current of a second charging circuit. When the voltage (h) of the capacitor becomes a reference voltage VTH2, an ignition signal is outputted. Thus when the engine speed has lowered suddenly, undesirable advance angle can be prevented. |
