摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To improve the measurement precision of a sensor by substituting a polarizing and modulating means as a magnetooptic effect element with an electrooptic element and applying the interelectrode voltage of the electrooptic element instead of applying a magnetic field. CONSTITUTION:A photodetecting means 17 consists of a spectrograph 21 such as a polarizing prism and a diffraction grating and a multielement photodetector array 22. Specially, the array 22 uses charge accumulating elements CCD preferably. The number of detecting elements in the photodetector array is normally 256, 512.... A light source 11 uses a tungsten lamp or plural LEDs 23a-23c, etc., coupled by a photocoupler 24. Then, a signal processing means 13 finds such a wavelength that a spectrographic output is zero from CCD output signals, and calculates a magnetic field H reversely from the wavelength. Thus, the measurement precision of a general sensor applied with polarization is improved.</p>
