Grinding wheel holder

The grinding wheel holder according to the invention is intended to secure a grinding wheel on a shaft and it has a disc which is provided with a device which secures the same in a fixed position on the shaft. A ring which fits onto the disc has a device which clamps the end of the grinding wheel in position in the ring, and an elastic device is provided which is arranged between the disc and the ring and couples the ring to the disc and also clamps the grinding wheel in position on the holder. The elastic device is conveniently formed by springs which act on a locking device which forms the coupling connection to the ring. The grinding of very hard rock such as granite and marble is in particular a suitable field of application for the invention.
