<p>PURPOSE:To improve the operability at the time of maintenance and the reliability of an electrophotographic device, by installing an engaging section which engages with a transporting device held by the 1st unit at the 2nd unit and by automatically returning the transporting device to the transporting condition when the engaging section is closed. CONSTITUTION:A toner image is formed on a photoreceptor in the upper mechanism 28a and transfer paper 30 is fixed by a fixing roll 37 in the lower mechanism 28b. When jamming is generated in transferring, the upper mechanism 28a is opened and jamming is removed by turning each lever in the direction of an arrow (x). Since projected parts 57, 58, and 60 press down each lever when the upper mechanism 28a is closed, a guide plate 42a is returned to the horizontal position, a roll 46 is contacted with a belt 43, and a fixing roll 34 is pressure- contacted with a roll 36, and, therefore, a transporting device 38 returns to a condition where the paper 30 is automatically transported. Therefore, even when the upper transporting element is not returned to the original position forgetfully, the element is not damaged because the upper and lower mechanisms contact with each other. Thus the operability at the time of maintenance, etc., and the reliability of the device are improved.</p> |
