PURPOSE:To repeatedly perform focusing operation after the zooming is completed so that the sureness of the focusing can be improved, by inhibiting the movement of a focusing lens while the zooming operation is made and releasing the movement inhibition of the focusing lens after the zooming operation is completed. CONSTITUTION:A window comparator 4 moves a focusing lens to a focusing position in accordance with a defocus signal from a range-finder device 1 and inhibits the actuation of a motor 3 after the focusing is made. A variable resistance body 8, in accordance with the zooming operation to the telephoto side and close-up side, for example, in accordance with the movement operation to the telephoto side, outputs an electric logic signal H, such as zooming pulse 109, to an output terminal 9. At this time, a one-shot circuit 17 outputs a signal 117 and, in accordance with the signal 117, and FF18 and one-shot circuit 19 output a signal 118 and zooming complete signal 119, respectively. AND gates 20 and 21 and an OR gate 22 output a signal 122 and release the inhibition of an amplifier 2 by resetting an FF6.
