PURPOSE:To facilitate atomization of a fuel and to obtain a stabilized combustion state during idling, by elongating an idle port opening section of a suction passage and projecting it toward a suction manifold. CONSTITUTION:An idle port 29 is positioned in an upper inner wall surface of a suction passage 19 and is opened downstream of a throttle valve 21. The section where the idle port 29 opens in the suction passage 19 comprises a projection 30 that extends to the merged part of a carburetor 13 with a sub-suction manifold 12. The fuel flowed from the idle port 29 is entrained into the streams of air flowing along the opposite sides of the projection 30 thereby the atomization of the fuel can be facilitated. |
