PURPOSE:To constitute a file of all record forms for records of such as a fixed length form variable length form and an indefinite length form, by using a floppy disc. CONSTITUTION:An index area is read to read/write a control interval (CI) by issuing at first a READ VOLUME command, discriminating the type of a medium of the floppy disc (FD) and issuing a READ command. Then, the CI is read and written sequentially from the head BOE of the extent. If the CI bridges over plural tracks, after read/write to all physical sectors of the preceding track is executed, a SEEK command for the positioning of a head is issued, and the similar processing is repeated. One CI read out from the FD is stored in a CI buffer for the desired processing. After the desired processing is executed, the next CI is read out from the FD. |
