PURPOSE:To lighten the burden of a driver, by providing a discriminating tone generating means for generating a discriminating tone corresponding to a channel selecting button when the channel selecting button is operated selectively, so that a broadcasting station whose channel is selected can be discriminated by ears. CONSTITUTION:Channels 1ch-5ch are assigned to channel selecting buttons of an on-vehicle radio, respectively, and when said each channel 1ch-5ch is operated, an output is generated by a different time corresponding to each channel 1ch-5ch from a timing circuit 4, and a switching relay 5 is driven. By driving of this relay 5, an output from a transmitter 6 is amplified by an amplifier 7, and thereafter, a discriminating tone assigned to each channel 1ch-5ch is generated from a loudspeaker 8. In this case, the oscillating time is made different as a discriminating tone, but the same effect is obtained by changing the amplitude or oscillation frequency. Also, the selected broadcasting station can be discriminated by a driver's ears, and a driver's eyes remains fixed ahead, by which the safe driving is secured. |
