SAMPLING APPARATUS FOR CASTING SLAB

PURPOSE:To enable rapid sampling from casting slab by positioning a cutting apparatus as horizontal shifting at right-angled direction cutting section of carrying casting slab and cutting the base by a coaxial curved lever type cutter after notching as remaining a center cylinder by a reversed angle type center boring cutter. CONSTITUTION:The cutting apparatus 4 is shifted horizontally on rail 12 and positioned by a vertically moving device 6 at the right-angled cutting section under way of carrying high temp. casting slab 1. A tip 59 of the reversed angle type counter boring cutter 34 is used to notching-cut 71 as remaining the center cylinder 70 by turning of a cutter turning device 35 and by advancing of a horizontal shifting device 31. Next, the base of the cylinder 70 is cut 72 by working of a cutting driving device 32 under using a tip 51 of the coaxial curved lever type cutter 34. Therefore, sampling in the casting slab 1 is executed rapidly at any optional position in the end-face of the casting slab 1.
