PURPOSE:To make it possible to drill a hole in a weather strip even if the bottom surface e of weather strip is inclined becouse of the shape thereof, by moving the front end of a clamping guide obliquely upward to clamp the weather strip which has been guided by both reference and clamping guides and introduced by a conveyer. CONSTITUTION:When a cylinder 63 is extended so that a guide 61 advances to and stops at the position of a sensor 62, a weather strip 1 is guided by guides 61, 41 and introduced onto a conveyer 20, and is then cut to a predetermined length. When cylinders 63, 64 are extended to feed the guide 61 obliquely upward, the weather strip 1 is clamped between the guide 61 and a guide 41 with the bottom surface of the weather strip 1 being horizontally laid, and then a clip attaching hole is formed by a drill 32. Then, the guide 61 is returned by means of both cylinders 63, 64, and air is jetted from a jet port 43 in the center part of the guide 41 so that the weather strip is dropped along a chute 22. Further, the guide 41 and the conveyer 20 are moved with the use of the cylinder 42 and a jack 23 to cope with variations in the shape of the weather strip 1.
