PURPOSE:To attain a high coefficient of traction over a wide temp. range from a low temp. to a high temp., by blending a traction drive fluid with 1- cyclohexyl-1-(1-decalyl)ethane or its derivative in a particular proportion. CONSTITUTION:A traction drive fluid comprising 30 wt% 1-cyclohexyl-1-(1- decalyl)ethane or its derivative of formula I (wherein R<1>, R<2>, and R<3> are each H or 1-5C alkyl group; l, m, and n are each 1, 2 or 3). It is preferred that the content of 1-cyclohexyl-1-(1-decalyl)ethane or its derivative be 30-65 wt% because a traction drive fluid exhibiting a particularly excellent low temp. flowability can be obtd. thereby. |
