PURPOSE:To provide a photosensitive body which is resistant to cracking even if said body is formed by coating the other layer on an electric charge transfer layer and to provide the photosensitive body which has a high degree of freedom of mechanical design by using a specific bisphenol Z polycarbonate resin as a binder resin for the charge transfer layer. CONSTITUTION:The belt photosensitive body having the high cracking resistance is obtd. by using a high-polymer material of the bisphenol Z polycarbonate expressed by the formula I as the binder resin for the charge transfer layer. While the commercially marketed polycarbonate resin has usually 25,000 up to 30,000mol.wt. (weight average), this bisphenol Z polycarbonate is required to have at least the mol.wt. above said values and the polycarbonate having 60,000-100,000mol.wt. is more preferable. The resulted belt-shaped photosensitive body does not crack and forms defect-free copies even after repetitive uses. The electrical characteristics thereof are equiv. to the electrical characteristics of a photosensitive body for which ordinary polycarbonate is used. |
