Containers for transport, preservation and pre-conditioning of biological prods. for laboratory examination are pre-treated by inserting a preservative and bactericidal soln. which is then dried inside the container. Drying is pref. at 30-45 deg.C for 15-36 hrs., and the additive is converted to a stable, dry residue resistant to centrifuging.
