PURPOSE:To inform the unrecordable state to a caller with a simple constitution, by producing an alarm signal for a certain period of time when a tape reaches its terminal point during the recording of a message. CONSTITUTION:The recording of a message is finished in case an output is delivered from a tape end detecting circuit 19 during the recording of the message. Then an alarm signal generating circuit 7 is turned on to start the transmission of the alarm signal to the circuit. At the same time, the rest part of an endless tape for an answer message is advanced. The travelling of the tape is stopped when a sensing tape is detected. The time elapsed from the start of transmission of the alarm signal is decided at a control part 1. If this time is longer than a certain time T, the transmission of the alarm signal is discontinued to reset the circuit to the incoming waiting mode. In case the decided time is shorter than the time T, the transmission of the alarm signal is continued until the time T. The recording of the message is not carried out for the subsequent incomings after the transmission of the answer message. Then the answer message tape is advanced, and the alarm signal is transmitted to perform the same operation as mentioned above. |
