摘要 In order to produce coherent electromagnetic radiation in the wavelength band below 700 ANGSTROM , a parallel, intensive beam of metastable rapidly spinning particles is initially produced in which a particle beam is reflected in the hard vacuum on a solid body surface, at a grazing angle. A partial beam having particles of equal charge is separated off from the reflected beam, coherent electromagnetic radiation being superimposed coaxially with respect to the separated-off beam, on the latter, at a wavelength which corresponds to the energy difference between the metastable state and an excited state which is suitable for transmission of radiation of the desired wavelength. The particle beam and the coherent radiation produced are subsequently separated from one another. <IMAGE>
