In a roller shutter, for sealing the drawn-up armour (20) at the inlet into the roller shutter (12), there is arranged on the end strip (26) of the armour (20), extending over its entire width, an upwardly directed sealing edge for contact against a longitudinal edge (40) of the inlet opening (30) of the roller shutter box (12), and, between the actuating member for the roller shutter and the sealing edge, at least one elastic connection is provided, by means of which the sealing edge can, with the armour drawn up, be placed with prestressing against the longitudinal edge of the inlet opening. The elastic connection can in this case be formed by an element which is extractable telescopically against spring force, such as the end strip (26) of the armour (20). By means of the elastic connection, the end strip (26) with the sealing edge falling again and eliminating the sealing effect after drawing up the armour is avoided. <IMAGE>
