Aluminium-plastic windows, comprising a window frame and a window casement, the parts of which directed inwards into the room are formed at least partially by plastic profiled sections and the parts of which directed outwards into the open form an outer shell which comprises aluminium profiles and is connected to the plastic profiles, which are provided with a reinforcement or armouring. Such a window is to be designed in such a way that the required reinforcement or armouring of the plastic profiled sections which, as the parts forming the inner shell of the window are connected to the parts forming the outer shell and comprising aluminium profiles, is to be accomplished much more simply and consequently also less expensively. This takes place by the aluminium profiles themselves forming the reinforcement or armouring for the plastic profiles and, for this purpose, having a part which comprises a box-shaped hollow profiled section which extends in the direction of the window frame or window casement and the outwardly directed sides of which form the outer shells of the casement or frame and over the upper side and under side of which the plastic profiled section is pushed, which for this purpose has on its outwardly facing side a U-shaped depression, extending in the direction of the frame or casement, and forms on its inwardly directed side the inner shell of the frame or casement.
