A negative-sequence coordinate system ( alpha '', beta ''), which is rotating in the opposite direction, is defined by means of the nominal frequency of a reference variable system (for example orthogonal spatially-fixed components U alpha @ = U0@ cos omega *t, U beta @ = U0@ sin omega *t of a rotating nominal voltage vector). A first vector rotating device (32) transforms the spatially-fixed components of an actual value vector which is formed from the measured values (output voltages U1, U2, U3) into its negative-sequence coordinate system components. A filter (33a) forms the mean values with respect to time as components of the negative-sequence system vector describing the negative-sequence system of the output variables, for which in each case one regulator (33c) has the nominal values zero specified for it. The regulator output variables, as components of a correction vector ( DELTA U*), are transformed back by means of a second vector rotating device (34) into the spatially-fixed reference system and are used for correction of the nominal values or for pilot control. <IMAGE>
