摘要 PURPOSE:To restrain a shock in connecting an electromagnetic clutch under a supercharged condition and improve drivability by increasing the number of revolutions of a turbocharger prior to shifting to acceleration, through the closing of a bypass control valve during a predetermined time after detecting a gear change. CONSTITUTION:For the intake pipe 1 of an internal combustion engine, a mecha nism type supercharger 2 is arranged. In this case, a bypass passage 3 detouring the turbocharger 2 is formed and a bypass control valve 4 is provided in the bypass passage 3. Also, a supercharger control means 6 is provided for driving the supercharger 2 and closing the bypass control valve 4 when the drive means 5 of the bypass control valve 4 and the engine are in such an operation condi tion as requiring the supercharging thereof. Furthermore, there are provided a detecting means 7 for detecting the gear change condition of a vehicle and a control means 8 for closing the bypass control valve 4 shortly after a gear change even under a non-supercharged condition. And when the gear change has been detected, the control means 8 works to close the bypass control valve 4, regardless of the number of engine revolutions.
