A land sORoage tank for pressurized fluid, e.g. liquefied gas, comprises an insulatable tank with a generally rectangular cross-section. Its top and bottom walls each cosist of multiple, e qual-sized parallel lobes, while the side walls are of one lobe and all lobes are partly cylindrical abd outwardly convex. The ends consist of spherical elements with the same radius of curvature as the lobes. A single series of pqrallel, internal, reinforcing plates extends to the lobe joints in the top, bottom, and end walls. A flat roof extends over the tank and is sealed to the wallsof a shallow dylce that runs around the tamk. The dyke is filled with thermal insulation and an inert gas atoms. Roof support feet sit on joimts between the tank top lobes.
