In the case of known sectional doors, the lamellae forming the door are connected directly to one another via integrally formed hinge elements. The width of the lamellae is restricted as a result of the comparatively small pivot angle. In order to permit ample configuration of the visible surface of the sectional door with wide lamellae without, in this case, increasing the space requirement in the deflection region of the door, hinge elements (14, 14') are fastened in the region of the mutually adjacent longitudinal edges of the lamellae (12), said hinge elements engaging into the respectively adjacent hinge elements and consisting preferably of light metal. The sectional door is suitable for use as a garage door, room divider or the like. <IMAGE>
