PURPOSE:To prevent ash content from adhering and accumulating to the inside of a blow pipe, by composing the titled burner of a center tube in which two- phase flow of gas and solid is formed, and an outer tube which forms a passage for cooling medium, and by forming the tip of a burner into a specified tapered form. CONSTITUTION:A burner 9 is composed of an inner tube 1, a middle tube 2 and an outer tube 3, and the inner tube 1 and the outer tube 3 are connected to each other by the intermediary of a tapered cap 8. Two-phase flow of gas and solid consisting of finely divided solid fuel and transferring gas is fed into the inner tube 1 to the direction of an arrow sign, while cooling medium is circulated in the passages which are formed between the inner tube 1 and the middle tube 2, and between the middle tube 2 and the outer tube 3, to the direction of arrows drawn by chain lines. In this case, the angle theta of the taper of a tapered cap 8 is set up so as to satisfy a conditional formula theta <=1,400L<2>- 1,290L+295, 0.1<=L<=0.35, when the distance from the boundary part between the inlet pipe 10 of a blast furnace and a blow pipe 11, to the tip of a burner 9, is determined as L. |
