Substituted N,N-dimethyl O-pyrimidin-4-yl carbamates of the formula in which R is alkyl, R1 is hydrogen or optionally substituted alkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, alkylsulphinyl or alkylsulphonyl, R2 is hydrogen or optionally substituted alkyl, or R1 and R2 together form an optionally substituted alkylene, A is alkylene having more than 1 carbon atom, and n is 0, 1 or 2, which possess insecticidal activity.
