2-Pyridone derivatives of the formula <IMAGE> stereoisomers thereof and salts thereof with a physiologically acceptable acid or base and processes for their preparation, in which R<1> denotes hydrogen or alkyl, R<2> denotes a -CH=O, -COOR<4> or -CH2-O-R<5> group, in which R<4> represents hydrogen, alkyl groups or benzyl and R<5> represents hydrogen, alkyl, alkanoyl, cycloalkanoyl, alkoxycarbonyl, phenoxycarbonyl or a benzoyl group, which can carry one or two halogen, trifluoromethyl or alkyl or alkoxy substituents, and R<3> represents 2-thienyl, 3-thienyl, tert.-butyl or a phenyl group, which can carry one or two substituents which are halogen, trifluoromethyl or alkyl or alkoxy. The compounds have anti-inflammatory actions and can be used as anti-inflammatory agents. |
