PURPOSE:To manufacture a magnet showing a large value of product of magnetic flux density and maximum energy in order to use it for motor by constituting a permanent magnet being composed of the specified amount of samarium, titanium, copper, iron and cobalt, having a density higher than the specified value and a crystal structure of TbCu7. CONSTITUTION:A permanent magnet has the composition of 25-27wt% samarium, 0.5-3wt% titanium, 1-8wt% coper, 14-23wt% iron and cobalt as the remainder. The powders of these components are mixed and are fused in the vacuum high frequency inductive heating furnace, and then cooled as an alloy. The alloy thus obtained is crashed into the powder of fine particle. The pressurized powder material body is formed as a sintered body through the sintering under the argon ambient. Thereby, a permanent magnet in density of 8.2g/cm<2> or more and in crystal structure of TbCu7 can be obtained and a magnet showing a large value of product of magnetic flux density and maximum energy can also be obtained. |
