PURPOSE:To transfer data at a high speed, by deciding whether the data in a buffer storage mechanism is up-to-data or not from the fact that the rewriting is carried out or not by another external storage controller. CONSTITUTION:The upper devices of a disk subsystem are eual to channels 1 and 2 which are connected to disk controllers 3 and 4 respectively. The controllers 3 and 4 contain buffer storage mechsnisms 5 and 6 respectively and at the same time share disk devices 7 and 8 as the lower devices. The devices 7 and 8 incorporate rewriting storage circuits 9 and 10 respectively. The rewriting of information is recorded to the circuits 9 and 10, and the propriety is decided from the contents recorded to the circuits 9 and 10 for the transfer of the data stored in the mechanisms 5 and 6. |
