Monoclonal antibodies against, and cell surface antigen of, lung carcinoma.

Monoclonal antibodies and fragments thereof, which identify a specific cell surface membrane expressed sialoglycoprotein antigen of the small cell carcinoma of the lung, hybrid cell lines producing these antibodies, methods of using the antibodies and the specific antigen itself, named sGP100, are disclosed. A preferred antibody is SWA20. The antibodies are indicated for use in immunoassays and for immunotherapy of small cell carcinoma of the lung.
