PURPOSE:To accurately control the amount of ink by such an arrangement wherein the rate of area of picture pattern of a printing plate is measured by the unit of a fixed width, and the data thus obtained are converted into data of area of picture pattern of the fixed width of ink key of a printing unit and the degree of opening of each ink key is determined by the data. CONSTITUTION:The rate of area of picture pattern of a printing plate 51 is measured by the unit of a fixed width by a measuring instrument 35 which is caused to scan, and the data are calculated by a CPU 32 and the results are memorized in a memory 33. Data information read out from the memory 33 in accordance with a transmission command is converted into data of rate of area of picture pattern by the unit of a fixed width by a CPU 22 and based on the converted data, the degree of opening of each of ink keys 111-11n of a printing unit is set and thereby, the amount of ink to be supplied is adjusted. |
