PURPOSE:To enable to apply the conventional reduction and reverse gear to an engine having reverse rotating direction by a method wherein an adaptor seat, capable of securing the oil pump and a cover to a case near the coupling of the reduction and reverse gear, is provided in the device. CONSTITUTION:The small diametral rear end part of a support shaft 13, to which an intermediate gear 7, a hydraulic multi-disc clutch 9 and an output pinion 8 are secured, is projected to the rear side of cases B, C and is covered in the hole 41 of a rear lid 40. The lid 40 is secured to the cases B, C by bolts 42 and is equipped with internal oil paths m, n connected to external operating oil path M and lubricating oil path N. The oil pump 43 is secured to the rear end face of the lid 40 through bolts 44 and the input shaft 45 thereof is connected to the small diametral rear end part of the support shaft 13. In case the support shaft 13 is defined to be a normal rotation unit, the lid 40, corresponding to the support shaft of a reversing unit, is covered by a simple cover. Accordingly, in case the reduction and reverse gear, shown in the diagram, is applied to the engine having reverse rotating direction, the oil pump 43 alone may be sufficient enough to be attached to the reversing unit. |
