<p>PURPOSE:To prevent overlapped feeding of paper by making the coefficient of friction between a part of the surface of a separating member and a paper sheet and the coefficient of friction between a separating roller and the paper sheet larger than the coefficient of friction between the paper sheets. CONSTITUTION:In the case where a pluraity of paper sheets 8 are fed in overlap by a paper feed roller 7, when the plural paper sheets 8 are overlapped and inserted in a nip portion between a separating roller 5 and a separating member 1, since the coefficient of friction between a portion 1-1 of the separating member 1 and the paper sheet 8 and the coefficient of friction between the separating roller 5 and the paper sheet 8 are larger than the coefficient of friction between the paper sheets 8, 8, the separating member 1 is moved until it contacts with a stopper 13. At this time, the lowermost paper sheet 8 accompanies the separating member 1 and pushed back by friction with a high-friction portion 1-1 of the separating member 1. When the lowermost paper sheet 8 is pushed back a little, the lower surface of the following paper sheet 8 is brought into contact with the high-friction portion 1-1, so that the paper sheet is also pushed back by friction. The paper sheets 8 are sequentially pushed back from the lower paper sheet first, and only the uppermost paper sheet 8 is fed out by the separating roller 5.</p> |
