PURPOSE:To enable setting and variation of prize winning without opening the door of an outer case, by a method wherein an insertion part for a cardform master key means is situated to the front panel of a slot machine and a data reading part is located in the vicinity of the insertion part, and a prize-winning rate set part, actuated by means of an output of a signal at a time when read data coincides with prewritten data, is provided. CONSTITUTION:When a master card MC is inserted in an insertion slot 2b, data is read by a reader 5a, and is compared with master data prewritten in a discrimination control part 5b. Only when the two types of data coincide with each other, a set signal se is fed to a command part 7b. The command part 7b brings a selection signal generating part 7a and a prize-winning rate set part 7 into an actuating state, and a generating part 7d is brought into a state in which it can be energized. With a set switch 7c actuated, the selection signal generating part 7a varies a prize-winning rate by the set part 7 to a new prize-winning rate through the command part 7b by means of the signal generating part 7d. By pulling out the master card MC after the set switch 7c is operated, control of variation of the prize-winning rate is completed. |
