PURPOSE:To secure stableness in a control system as well as to make the manual operation of a steering gear achievable, by coupling a handle shaft with a steering mechanism in a mechanical way. CONSTITUTION:When a control circuit 70 generates a control signal corresponding to the rotational direction and the magnitude of turning torque of a handle shaft 11 and car speed through each input signal out of an angle sensor 31, a torque sensor 32 and a car speed sensor 33, in response to this control signal, an electric motor 50 rotates at revolutions corresponding to the magnitude of turning torque in the handle shaft 11 and the car speed by dint of the output signal out of a driving circuit 71. And, owing to a rotor 20, the handle shaft 11 is interlocked with a steering mechanism in a mechanical way whereby stableness in a control system can be improved, and when a turning angle theta2 of the electric motor 50 is synchronized with a turning angle theta, of the handle shaft 11, the manual operation of a steering gear can be achieved via the rotor 20. |
