PURPOSE:To lengthen the service life by providing the string contact section when moving to the left and right on both sides of the upper end face of the string guide section of a traverse guide formed integrally with a vessel type cam follower while providing an inverting time string removal slope below. CONSTITUTION:In a traverse guide 3, a vessel type cam follower section (a) to be inserted slidably in an endless groove in a cylindrical groove cam 1 and a string guide section 6 in the center of a guide flange section (b) are molded integrally. Said string guide section 6 is provided with string contact sections A, B when moving to the left and right with predetermined distance in the traverse direction while a string removal slope C when inverting is provided below. Consequently both string contact sections A, B will traverse under reciprocal motion while when inverting the string Y will slip on the slope C and removed through the swing motion of the vessel type cam follower (a) then move between both sections A, B and inverted. Consequently the traverse switching point will not require adjustment resulting in the lengthened service life. |
