PURPOSE:To obtain a wide-band airtight window which is sealed by brazing a flat-plate low-loss dielectric with a metallized layer at an end part and has a >10% pass-band rate at low cost by slanting the flat-plate low-loss dielectric to the tube-axis perpendicular surface of a circular multimode waveguide. CONSTITUTION:The wide-band airtight window 11 is sealed by brazing the low- loss ceramic 13 to the circular multimode waveguide 12 with the metallized layer 14 at the end part. The thickness (t) of the low-loss ceramic 13 is specified as shown by an equation and the low-loss ceramic 13 slants at an angle theta deg. to the tube-axis perpendicular surface of the circular multimode waveguide 12. |
