PURPOSE:To easily carry out the test of insulation restoring characteristics, by providing a first loop line as a non-vibratory system and a second loop line as a vibratory system to rapidly carry out the cut-off of a recurrence arc current due to a sample feeder. CONSTITUTION:A large capacity condenser 1, a making device 2, a reactor 9, a resistor 3 and a condenser 12 constitute a first loop line and constants of each elements are properly set to form a non-vibratory system. On the other hand, a second loop line constituted from the condenser 12, a reactor 10, a resistor 11 and a sample feeder 5 are set in the constants of each elements thereof so as to form a vibratory system. When the condenser 1 is charged and the making device 2 is subsequently inputted prior to testing, voltage between terminals of the sample feeder 5 is raised at a rising ratio determined by th time constant of (C4+C12).R11 but, when exceeds the voltage resistance of the sample feeder 5, recurrence arc is generated to supply a current to the second loop line. Because the second loop line is the vibratory system, a saw-tooth shaped voltage wave form is obtained by a measuring instrument 8 and, even if either one of media is used as the arc extinguishing medium of the sample feeder 5, the test of insulation restoring characteristics can be certainly carried out. |
