PURPOSE:To perform an efficient piling, by decelerating a sheet to an efficient and steady piling speed through application of direct suction force and brake force to the sheet by means of magnetic force generated by linear motors assembled in the upper and lower pilers in a shear line. CONSTITUTION:If sheets A cut by a drum shear are conveyed to a linear motor 8 by a conveyor 3 on the conveying-out side of the shear, the sheet, whereon suction force and brake force are exerted by a linear motor 8, is decelerated to a given speed at the time when it reaches the outlet of a passage. meanwhile, a subsequent sheet B is sucked up to an upper passage through energization of an electromagnetic roll 12 to be conveyed to a linear motor 9, and is decelerated to a given speed by receiving the brake force generated by the linear motor 9. Right before or at the time when the sheet B collides with a stopper 7, a magnetizing current at the forward end of the linear motor 9 is disconnected, the sheet B drops, and is piled on a piler lift 6 in a manner to be superposed on the preceding sheet A. |
