PURPOSE:To obtain a casting product having an intricate rugged surface, by bundling and winding fibrous materials such as straw materials to a prescribed thickness around a core for casting, molding a master mold with molding sand using said bundle as a core, inserting the same in a mold and pouring molten metal into the mold. CONSTITUTION:Fibrous combustible materials 2 such as straw materials are bundled and wound around a core 1 at the required thickness so as to correspond approximately to the cast product to be obtd. by casting. The assembly is set at the center of a molding flask and with the assembly as a core, a master mold 4 of molding sand is molded to insert the same in the mold 4. When molten metal 8 is poured through a sprue 7 into the mold 4, the materials 2 are burned away by the high heat of the metal 8 and the metal 8 flows into the space formed by the combustion. The molten metal 8 cools and solidifies in this state, whereby the cast product having an intricate rugged surface is obtd. |
