PURPOSE:To improve catalytic activity by making multiple oxides of Ce, Cu and Mn and specifying the composition in the oxidative decomposition catalyst of hydrocarbon-series compds. CONSTITUTION:This multiple metal oxides is shown in CeqCurMnsOz and is a compd. wherein (q), (r), (s) and (z) are 0<q/s<5/1, 0<r/s<5/1 and 0<z. High oxidative decomposition activity is shown for hydrocarbon compds. (specially triglyceride such as salad oil) by regulating the composition to such specified conditions as this. In order to produce the above-mentioned multiple metal oxides, such an aq. soln. that respective nitrates of Ce, Cu and Mn have been regulated to the prescribed molar ratio is prepared and ppt. is obtained by a coprecipitation method and thereafter thermally decomposed to obtain the multiple oxides. |
