INTEGRATED BACKUP RESTORAGE PROCESSING SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To perform the shunting and restoring processes independently of each other and on the basis of the restorage control information, by storing both the restorage control information and the file contents to be shunted in the form of a pair on a storage medium. CONSTITUTION:The restorge control information and the file contents to be shunted are recorded in a pair on a backup magnetic tape 16. The 1st decision processing part 7 decide to call out one of file shunt/restorage processing parts 10-12 based on the catalog information and the processing mode of the designated file. An editing processing part 8 edits the restorage control information which has to be delivered to the tape 16, and a shunt processing part 9 calls out the file shunt/restorage processing part that is decided by the part 7. While the 2nd decision processing part 14 decides to call out one of parts 10-12 based on the restorage control information stored on the tape 16.
