PURPOSE:To measure simply and in good workability a stress of a member constituting a structure even in working site, by comparing an interference fringe image emitted by light radiation to a photoelastic body with plural standard interference fringe images. CONSTITUTION:The plate-shaped photoelastic body 44 having a hole 2a is adhered and fixed previously, then stresses to loaded members 41, 42 are measured. A stress measuring apparatus 40 has devices 53, 52 displaying selectively the plural interference fringe images functioning as the standard and generated in correspondence to this photoelastic body 44 and the stress. The apparatus 40 can measure simply and in good workability the stress of the member constituting the structure even in working site by comparing the projected interference fringe image and the standard interference fringe images. |
